Norm Therapy

Program Therapies

It is against the law for us to provide therapy unless we are licensed. So, our clinicians, doctors, therapists and other professional personnel are the third phase of our evolution.  ARO is the portal to get the abuse victims to our new revolutionary “Norm Therapy” and educational abuse doctrines.  After Norm Therapy, victims are referred to a regulated HIPAA area of ARO to receive professional therapy, if necessary, by an assigned and licensed professional free of charge.

What Does Normal Look Like?

If you do not know what normal looks like, how can you ever gauge your past or your future? You must find your ground zero and from there, all things are possible. Your normal is different from my normal as it is just as different from everyone else’s. Therefore, for “Norm Therapy” to be effective and the victim further understand why they are standing out in the snow with three children, no place to go, a bloodied face while saying to themselves, “It must have been something I did wrong to make him hit me!” The victim normalizes their tragedies based on the lies of accepting a beating affecting their children with the abuse witnessed and not being their own backup plan for their life. ARO is not a shortcut. “Norm Therapy” is a deep dive into everything true, false, or fantastical about their chronic or acute abuses: good or bad.

From there, our clinicians, counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists can build on the truth instead of spending years attempting to get the victim at the truth even before they can begin to help them. They say that the truth will set you free. Not for one day in Kelly’s life did she ever believe that until now. And that is Kelly’s journey.

Can you see the value in what we are trying to accomplish?

ARO FAQs

How Can We Enlist Your Support For ARO?

We can certainly request that you join us in our efforts to bring in massive donations and to open your Rolodex and make yourself very aware of our vision and our presence. Promote ARO. Support ARO and help us fund ARO which are our principal objectives. Anything outside of that is quite secondary to our priorities. As we grow, of course we will be bringing on many volunteers. However, it makes no sense to have 1,000 volunteers without the pipeline in place for their utilization.

We will always take in donations; we will always spread the word and we will always seek volunteers and other gifts to our foundation to support us forward. We are not looking for you to quit your job or to expect to get a job right away with ARO or for ARO, but we are looking for you to donate a few hours a week of your professional time to help us to usher in our success. After raising sufficient monies and we are able to get in front of the financial curve, then jobs and paid positions will be offered. We can look at that down the road. But for now, we want you to learn our language, adopt our strategies and to feel and acquire our passion.

ARO Endgames

We are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we are just trying to add a few more spokes to it. Remember, we do not do “Handouts”, we do “Hand ups”. Of course, we will grow exponentially in our continued efforts in driving in donations, grants, government subsidies, volunteers and the like will never end. Our goal is to get way ahead of that curve.

There are many more moving parts to our efforts that require facility and/or resources for us to get the job done correctly the first time around. Could we start with one doctor, one patient and one small facility? Sure. But why low ball our vision?

We have discussed with many professionals in the industry and within charities over the last couple of years and none of them have seen anything like our vision yet come to fruition and professionally, we want to keep it that way.

Where The Rubber Meets The Road

When the abused wife shows up with 2 kids or is picked up by a couple of our off-duty security and voluntarily assisted in her removal from the abusive situation, where do we put her? You see, getting our counseling and being able to visit our pretty facilities means nothing to her. Her safety and the wellbeing of her children are her number one priority.

Therefore, simultaneously with developing our offices and victim’s facility, we will be involved with a longer-term goal of developing offsite and secure housing shelters for our victims most in need. ARO has been assured by some investors that they will be more than happy to not only donate the land but also assist in the finance and build out of this shelter. This too is a massive undertaking, and many more pledges of land and facilities will need to be pledged around the country and at some point in the future, around the world. Now, of course after the last couple of years of developing this comprehensive plan, we were somewhat thwarted by the Coronavirus pandemic and we have had to, as mentioned before, become more elastic than ever in our business model.

Can you NOW see the picture that we have been painting for you?

What Does The Learning Curve Look Like?

There has been a tremendous learning curve to what you know about ARO and about Kelly at this point. Kelly is not a therapist, but she has seen a lot of them even since I was a child until just recently and she knows the script like the back of her hand. This neither makes her qualified. What makes her qualified to run ARO is that she is the walking, talking and living embodiment of the prototype or ground zero for “Norm Therapy”. Her education and her experiential knowledge grant her the authority to bring together the best doctors, the best counselors, and the best assets she can possibly muster worldwide to assist her in her vision.

ARO Gets The Job Done!

ARO is the sum of many moving parts. Let us look at the general outline of what we purport to do. First, bringing about awareness to the masses is extremely important. Not only to identify our audiences but to attract the attention of the mental and physical hygiene community. These communities are comprised of counselors, doctors, clinicians, psychologists, psychiatrists and many other caseworkers and support staff indicative of our needs within the structure of ARO itself. Bringing awareness equals opportunity for not only the afflicted abused masses but also for the professional community of help needed.

As a non-profit, we do not make money. Our very existence depends on donations, grants and good will. We are not a startup, but we are in the startup donations phase because every dime in the world Kelly and the other Co-Founder had, and quite a few dimes of other people that helped along the way has gone into what you see on the website, ARO’s videos, attorneys, our incorporation, our many thousands of hours of learning and the Co-Founders countless tens of thousands of dollars in savings or more has gone into what you see in ARO. It is truly comprehensive, and it is just the beginning.

What is Abuse Refuge Org’s Mission?

Abuse Refuge Org is poised to be the definitive leader in the Abuse Care Industry.  Ours is to “Breathe Life Into Those Who Need It”.  We strive to grant victims clarity of their past and the present as well as to the many and multiplely afflicted “Abused Survivors” so they can proceed with their futures “Scot Free” from their woes and their tortures.  We advance these “No Longer” tortured souls closer and closer towards their “Soul Graduation”!

You may also use the “Chat” button; however, for documentary purposes, we will either take your report over the phone or via email as our official method of communication.

If you are an individual or an organization, how can you help?

You can help in various ways by establishing a “Participation Program” or a “Match Donation Program” with your organization would be extremely welcomed. Also, you may click on the “Donate” button anywhere on our website. In addition, you can coordinate with our National Executive Director to host fundraisers.

You may also volunteer in a variety of ways. We are actively seeking mental health professionals, seasoned case workers, licensed experts, and many other abuse field related professionals to volunteer and/or be awarded one of our contract employment opportunities as a hired professional. These slots will be on a per qualification basis and in some cases, we currently have waiting lists.

Are you licensed Therapists?

We are the administrative and business development arm of a non-profit that contracts Doctors, Therapists, Counselors, Case Workers and other fields to serve as a base of our support towards getting the treatment that the abused victims so desperately need. We are a refuge. Our mission is to be a “One Stop Shop” for the abused.

Receive ARO’s services?

It’s simple. Pick up the phone and call us or email us after the month of June 2020 as we will be fully operational at that point. We will take an interview with you and conduct a preliminary assessment of your needs. You will answer personal and/or event related questions and once it’s determined that our help can assist you, we will turn you over to our licensed staff to assist along with the administrative staff, if needed.

Do ARO provide shelter for battered women and children?

After reporting the case to local officials and law enforcement, we refer the case to one of our on-staff licensed professionals and make valid attempts through state, federal, local, philanthropic and existing shelters to assist. Our future goals are to directly provide safe-housing for these families and/or individuals. We are currently raising funds and taking in donations for just such an effort. We will keep you informed. Please sign up as a member so you can receive updates on our process.

Fundraising

Now Let Us Talk About Fundraising

We already have a substantial number of commitments in donations to set most of this up in 2021. This will not be the problem. Sustainability in any business model is always the problem.

In addition to building out and maintaining a clinical environment, we must also create and maintain an offsite administrative staff. Our offices and other administrative professionals who are charged with the responsibility to market, promote, advise, develop new chapters, develop, and seek grants, raise capital, carry out financial transactions, house business operations, integrate IT and carry out the business of ARO will be the function of the administration offices.

Note: For security reasons, we will always keep the administration office and its address in general access private and secure from the masses. Our idea and belief are that once disgruntled tormentors, abusers, and jealous significant others decide to look for who to blame for their marriage ending, their victim escaping, or the loss of their narcissistic supply in some cases, our offices and staff safety will be in peril.

So, to minimize and mitigate those risks, we will remain offsite in a very nondescript but suitable facility. Nevertheless, our clinical environment at the other facility will have ample security and well trained and adept security for those facilities to include off-duty police, on-duty police, ex- special operations personnel that we have already identified and digital screening and access to the facility.

You have just been described to you a million-dollar facility and we only have a fraction of that. This would only be Phase 3. Having a diagnostic facility and corporate offices just gets us started.

Our Infrastructural Needs

Let me continue to paint this picture for you… At some point in the future, post Coronavirus, our intended offices, (Which we would have occupied by now had it not been for the Coronavirus) will house a variety of specialists, medical staff and support staff to meet the initial needs of the eclectic abused communities. More importantly, because of the Pandemic, online visual communications, as well as certified and legal portals have become the way of the norm. This market anomaly serves ARO well. Through our online video platform, we can serve and distribute our abuse community to the correct and most appropriate professionals to assist in their therapies and recoveries. This dictated a massive growth in ARO of staff personnel. We are currently approaching 70 volunteers in ARO with a projected growth of anywhere between 45 and 80% monthly for the remainder of 2021.

At the beginning of 2022, we should house a facility of more than 19 departments and 500 managers and staff. Our Social Media, Public Relations, Fundraising and Online News Media platforms will spearhead our growth and connectivity to the world by year’s end. In addition, our Operations, Human Resources, Online News Media, LGBTQ-IA+, Graphic Design, Training & Development, Public Relations, and a few other envisaged departments will spearhead our internal infrastructural efforts further solidifying ARO as a formidable base of growth for the company.

Our vision is to develop a heavily manned clinical facility with offices, conference rooms, interview rooms, small auditoriums, waiting areas, patient (victim) screening rooms and a comprehensive and well-staffed administration’s desk. This facility will serve as our principal victim intake portal. Every one of these individuals within a professional environment will more than likely be a paid staff with salaries, benefits, vacation, 401k, and sheer commitment. Again, we do not make money in a nonprofit. We beckon for donations and for what we are trying to accomplish…we need vast and massive donations.

“Norm Therapy” will curry the favor of many to volunteer with the goal of bringing them on in either a limited paid capacity or full-time salaried position. “Norm Therapy” means nothing without licensed professionals assisting us in educationalizing it, discerning it, publishing it, and adhering to it as a core product set of our belief that it works. This will be an ongoing effort and it has already started quite some time ago. Reducing to actionable policy, our abilities, our support, and our effectivities is our overall and collective grand design. This never-ending work in progress is our most elastic application encompassing “Norm Therapy”.

NOTE:

As a donor with a recurring donation, your badge on our website will be depicted in gold on any given level, which means that not only do you support ARO via a donation but you provide your time, effort and expertise as well.

How are Donations used?

The majority of funds raised through donations initially used for infrastructure, contracting professionals and facilities build out. In addition, salaries, remunerations, event coordination, as well as additional staff hires will be our main priorities. After the summer of 2020, we will commence allocating more funds for the abuse categories mentioned on our website, partnering, with other nonprofit organizations and assisting in developing our national outreach program via chapters. We live, breathe and eat on donations. Keep in mind, we are a nonprofit and our sustainability directly correlates with our ability to manage our donations wisely. Basically, the more money we receive in Donations, the more we will get done.

Kelly Story

Did These Lessons And Therapies Make Sense For Kelly?

Kelly’s teachings and life curriculum were so vast and comprehensive that it defied all human logic. Not because it was so voluminous rather, she had never even considered these points of views, principals, and tenants. As Kelly looks back, she can see the 3 vital lessons that were necessary for her to have made it through these therapies.

Lesson 1: Kelly had to accept and learn the truth and it was imperative that she stopped lying to herself and to others. She was a pathological liar. As a pathological liar, she inundated herself with the many lies from her youth until then about her beauty, intelligence, potential and station in life and capabilities. Not only had Kelly believed these lies about not being pretty enough, not being capable, not having potential and the like, she also made others believe the inverse that they could treat her in these low manners without questioning why she was being treated so poorly. It was a double-edged sword, and she was continually being cut on both sides.

  • Lesson 2: She had realized that we are all dumb about something and that Kelly was dumb about herself.
  • Lesson #3: She had to learn to measure her courage against her reticence to change and the concrete acceptance of those changes.

It took Kelly about 6 months, within her inner self, to finally recognize who she was and how she fit into everything Kelly. Once she had a good idea about that, she was finally on the right path and things became much simpler. In fact, the most complex issues became a breeze. Some of them were difficult but quite doable. Again, “Clarity is a b****”.

This “Angelic soul” provided her many hours of documentation, researched therapies, as well as anecdotal tales of wisdom. Throughout this process, they began to see that the worst-case scenario-based solutions that were obstacles to Kelly was the beginning of a prototype towards helping others. Kelly then coined the process, “Norm Therapy”. This exercise in truth and acceptance thereof, is the heart of what Abuse Refuge Org is all about today. Talk about a eureka moment! ARO’s objective is not to cure anyone, rather put them on a path towards wellness and new beginnings. All we want to do is recalibrate who you have been against who you have the potential to become.

“Norm Therapy” is ARO’s signature product for abuse victims. Notwithstanding, that upon completion of our pilot program and after candidate victims have successfully subscribed to “Norm Therapy”, ARO’s business model transfers the victim or survivor to a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulated facility where licensed and well documented clinicians, professionals, case workers, doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and the like provide their expertise in working with a “Norm Therapy” dossier and their traditional therapies to put that victim or survivor on a path to recovery. “Norm Therapy” is the precursor to therapy. Kelly spent 10 years on the couch even lying to her counselors and psychologists. “Norm Therapy” extricates the truths, the origins and the pathological lies from the victims. We do not create their normal for them. How can a person ever know what normal is if they’ve have never experienced it? Therefore, “Norm Therapy” is designed to bring a clear and a chronicled pathology to our professional staff from which to begin their solution-based therapies.

Kelly Had Nowhere Else To Go But She Had Wondered If This Was The Right Path

Kelly had known this extremely wise, well-traveled and educated “Angel soul” for about 5 years at the time and in some of her darkest moments, she had previously reached out but she never truly revealed her real pain, depth of sorrow or her willingness to die by her own hand. This “Angel Soul” knew. I guess this person was just waiting for Kelly to reach the end of her rope as this person so timely stepped in. Once Kelly decided to listen, it brought a very succinct, researched, patient, and comprehensive therapy to assist her in finding herself in the wilderness.

In a few short months, everything began to make sense. Kelly could finally see her greatness at the end of the road and the light that shined so brightly. Things started to make sense for her, and she no longer wanted to kill herself. She wanted to finally live. Kelly wanted to enjoy life and live it…more importantly, she wanted to help others enjoy their lives and do the same. She found her calling and her path to greatness. Kelly’s purpose became excessively clear, and she was on her way.  They say that when you find “The why that makes you cry” you have found your God sized dream and boy did Kelly cry a lot.

Was There A Solution Out There For Kelly?

In the spirit of professing that Kelly is a Christian by faith and as an owner of a 501(c)(3), she is prohibited by law to preach her religion when her non-profit is not registered as a church foundation. But Kelly will tell you this, it is said that you should never have to look for God because He will always find you…and he did. Whether you believe in God or not, something brought us all to where we are in life, and Kelly would like to believe that it is something better and higher than who we are. And just like that, one day, what Kelly likes to call an “angelic soul” was literally thrust into my life, against her own wishes. She even rejected this person when they first came to Kelly, but they never went away. The “angelic soul” just kept coming until Kelly decided to become a part of what this person was trying to share with her.

Suddenly, Kelly kept hearing this bible verse, the Serenity Prayer, repeatedly playing in her head, “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know the difference”. As Kelly learned, the gun… is life itself… and wisdom is knowing when to pull the trigger. Little did she know that she had changed the path and course of her life in an instant. This was the beginning of Kelly’s long and arduous trek towards wellness and “Norm Therapy” was born.

What Did Kelly Really Want Out Of Life?

Kelly had always known that in order to be a great leader, first you must become a great follower. She wholeheartedly believed this to be true. Again, her strong will was to always be simply great at something, or if she was lucky, great at a few things. However, she was inextricably trapped in her own hell within her inner self and both consciousnesses were warring for their very existence from all the demons she had subscribed to over the years. The only two phone numbers she committed to memory back then was her own cell number and that of the suicide hotline. She never called the hotline however, what a tragedy, she surely knew their number.

Kelly felt despair and guilt about everything. She believed that she was wasting her life on the way to nowhere quickly. She consistently watched her life spiral deeper and more profoundly into hell and at the time there was nothing Kelly could do about it but go along for the ride.

Low Self-Esteem And Low Self-Worth Destroyed Kelly?

Low self-esteem and low self-worth triggered excessive drinking, dangerous liaisons, financial, sexual, psychological, physical, narcissistic, and self-abuse. Kelly fell deeper into the doldrums of hell and the shame of it was that it became commonplace. She felt so comfortable wallowing in her own defecation that it no longer experienced any stench associated with it. She would have to literally get drunk to numb her soul and body to even kiss, less known anything else, with any man with whom she was involved. At the time, she genuinely believed that she was an alcoholic. She learned later that this was untrue. She was just in an acute survival mode which later turned chronic.

Much later in life, as time ensued, and after many years of other abuses she began to feel her inner child come to life. Nevertheless, she was trapped. She was enveloped amongst 10,000 bad deeds and bad experiences. Her authentic self was tormented to a level of psychological abuse that she could not even come to the rescue of her inner self. Somehow, she could not extricate herself from the hell that she had created within her. Over many countless nights of experiencing what she felt to be rape, by the person who she supposedly loved, and countless days of waking up never knowing what that day would bring, she had reached the lowest point of her life.

They say that “Clarity is a b**ch”. Kelly had always known exactly who she always wanted to be; however, at the same time she realized who she had become, a total wreck.

ARO Co-Founder’s, Kelly Dehn, Journey

How she saw herself growing up – Co-Founders story.

From her earliest years, Kelly can remember being surrounded by a plethora of narcissistic people. Although at the time, she did not really know what narcissism meant. However, within her, she always knew that she felt one way while being treated another. You see, Kelly had always been a happy person throughout her life. She had consistently possessed a total calibration and synchronicity within her inner good self. It is certainly something when people told her that she was beautiful and that she was a happy little girl while others told her that she was clumsy, stupid, or unworthy. Not to mention, she was constantly berated, isolated, and mentally abused. This pretty much set the stage for a lifetime of hell.

The pathological lies were quite simple: she is substandard, deficient, and not enough, and if anyone wants to discuss her beauty or her happiness, it would only be marred with her being unworthy. So, you can see how this set her up for a lifetime of calamity from many terrible significant others on through a few one-night stands. Kelly learned to accept that on the inside that she was pretty much worthless. Not because she truly felt worthless, rather akin to Adolf Hitler’s speeches to the masses; if you tell a lie to someone enough times, especially to yourself, it comes believable. This was her biggest and most detrimental lie: that she was lowly beneath the people with whom she engaged. I guess you could say she had been quarantined from her authentic self her entire life.

ARO Company Information

What is Abuse Refuge Org’s Mission?

Abuse Refuge Org is poised to be the definitive leader in the Abuse Care Industry.  Ours is to “Breathe Life Into Those Who Need It”.  We strive to grant victims clarity of their past and the present as well as to the many and multiplely afflicted “Abused Survivors” so they can proceed with their futures “Scot Free” from their woes and their tortures.  We advance these “No Longer” tortured souls closer and closer towards their “Soul Graduation”!

What is Abuse Refuge Org’s Vision?

Our vision to assist and serve at Abuse Refuge Org has taken many years to carry out, establish our niches and define our target audiences.  There exist many abused people in just about every corner of society. We’ve involved many people, governments and organizations around the world to assist us in carrying out our vision(s).  Additionally, we’ve assembled many areas of interests germane to the needs of the “Majority” as well as that of the “Underserved Communities”.  Thank you for your continued support and participation as we look forward to many years and many assistance oriented objectives in the future.

Is Abuse Refuge Org a Startup Company?

No, we are not. We started this effort about 2 years ago and have been working tirelessly on our development. What you see on our website coupled with the people we have recruited on board was a laborious process. A few couple of months ago, we determined the name of our company. We were also able to acquire the name for our website (at a substantial cost) and we began our 501(c)(3) which is now complete.

We are duly registered in the State of Ohio and we are currently awaiting our physical certification from the US government of which we have been approved. Therefore, we are a nonprofit with a couple of years of experience. Our current staff and volunteers are some of the most eclectic and capable business and life-minded people on the planet. Ours is not a small vision. Rather, our vision is to duplicate our State of Ohio process in all 50 states utilizing targeted associations, non profits, individuals, support groups and other like minded, well established entities across the nation to carry out our mission.

What ARO’s Financial Benchmarks?

We are currently developing an online review sheet of exactly which categories we allocate the funds on a percentage and amount basis. After June of 2020, this will become available. If you want to receive email notifications and you are a donor, become a “Member” now and updates will be sent to you as this process is established.

For all intents and purposes, the sky’s the limit; however, before the end of 2020 our goal is to raise $3 million US dollars. We already currently have commitments for a substantial part of that and we are currently beginning to receive those funds. A national fundraising program, via our website, is the best method for small and sizable donations. For larger donations, you may speak with our National Executive Director and our financial experts on how to complete that effort.

Does Abuse Refuge Org (Abuse Refuge, Inc. – State Of Ohio) have a board?

Currently, we are developing our board. This is an extended process. Our board seats will not be determined based solely on monetary participation. Our board seats and selection criteria are based on the individual’s expertise, experience, wherewithal and their passions surrounding our spheres of corporate and nonprofit interests. We will announce our board before the first quarter 2021.
