Self-Care
by Rashmi Negi

We all experience struggles in our everyday lives, and how you deal with stress and anxiety matters. With busy schedules, it becomes challenging to practice self-care in our daily lives. We are also surrounded by technology that consumes most of our time. It is essential to find the right balance in your busy life by taking care of yourself—mind, body, and soul.

Be Mindful of Diet and Eating Habits
We are busy at home and in the office, but we shouldn’t forget to nourish ourselves. Practice being mindful of your diet and eating habits. If you don’t have much time, it is good to eat snacks or fruits during intervals. Eat healthy and balanced meals and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Get Enough Sleep
An adult should get between seven and nine hours of sleep every night. You should relax and be comfortable, and even turn off your device if needed. Avoid outside distractions and let your mind rest with no overthinking. You may think you don’t have enough time for a full night’s sleep, but it’s better to invest in your health now than pay for the consequences of not doing so later.

Regular Exercise
It is essential to work out or do any fun physical activity regularly. This can be as simple as a brisk walk, doing yoga, or joining a gym. Physical health is just as important as mental health to ensure we’re taking care of ourselves.

Take Some “Me” Time
Taking time off from work to relax or pursue other habits can be a healthy reset. Some “me” time is essential; engaging yourself in hobbies, art, crafts, sports activities, hiking, or dancing. Engage in some play to balance necessary monotonous tasks. It is difficult to maintain the proper balance, but we can become more resilient when facing obstacles by practicing self-care regularly.
